Floor Technician

About the role

Floor Technicians at Velociti are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and condition of hard surfaces and carpets in various areas of the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain a clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate professionally with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers
• Fill in during staff shortages
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems and the environment
• Instill trust

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care
• Knowledge of stripping, waxing, and burning floors with minimal to no assistance
• Experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred
• A solid commitment to the guest experience
• Always remember safety first
• Build respectful relationships with all teammates and guests
• Willingness to take directions from the Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, or District Manager
• Coordinate activities with other internal departments
• Participate in team meetings
