About the role
Responsible for ensuring optimum property floor cleanliness and presentation. This is an overnight position scheduled to work 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay: $18.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Clean, maintain, and repair all floors throughout Main and auxiliary buildings.
- Clean, sweep, mop, buff, wax, vacuum, or shampoo all required flooring.
- Refinish floors by removing old flooring, preparing surfaces for new flooring, and installing new floor materials and/or floor chemicals.
- Operate equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors, and other machines.
- Measure and label chemicals correctly, maintain equipment, and ensure supplies are clean and in good condition.
- Move furniture, appliances, or equipment and perform light window and wall cleaning.
- Follow checklists and guidelines for efficient and clean operation of assigned areas.
- Keep an inventory of equipment for each floor area and log schedules for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Assist with receiving equipment and supplies and coordinate distribution and storage.
- Assist in the maintenance of all storage areas, equipment maintenance, and chemical labeling.
- Monitor equipment condition and use all equipment correctly to ensure proper maintenance.
- Attend and participate in pre-shift briefings, arrive on time.
- Adhere to OSHA and Hazardous Communications safe work practices.
- Resolve problems within the position's scope of authority and recommend courses of action for issues beyond scope to supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to six months of experience in a related field; other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume hospitality environment.
- Excellent guest service skills for external and internal guests.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration.
- Work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and smoke, depending on assigned station and guest volume.
Pay
$18.50 per hour
Schedule
Overnight shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
