Floor Technician

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors, and assist with cleaning residents' rooms and common areas as assigned.
• Dust and wet mop floors in hallways, entryways, and common areas in assigned work areas.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors according to the cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) using approved cleaning agents and equipment, following proper procedures.
• Check equipment for proper functioning and report any defective equipment to the supervisor.
• Clean equipment after each use.
• Assist with cleaning residents’ rooms in assigned work areas as instructed, following the cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) using approved cleaning agents and equipment and following proper procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrate good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be capable of performing the essential job functions and physical and sensory requirements for all job functions.
