Floor Technician

Responsibilities

• Avoids contamination of floors by following proper cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the facility through routine cleaning tasks.
• Performs floor maintenance duties such as cleaning, buffing, carpet shampooing, and periodic floor refinishing.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies as required within facility departments.
• Conducts cleaning tasks including washing walls, windows, vacuuming ceiling vents, and disposing of trash and linen.
• Upholds a sanitary and organized facility through attention to detail and adherence to established schedules and procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license may be required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six (6) months of floor care experience preferred; additional training provided on the job.
• Experience in general housekeeping is preferred.
• Physical capability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds, including medical supplies and equipment.
