Location
FBI Academy, Quantico, Virginia
Shift
Monday through Friday, 7:30 am- 4:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Clean and care for a variety of floor surfaces—like tile, vinyl, carpet, and concrete—using the right methods for each.
- Operate floor care machines such as buffers, auto-scrubbers, carpet extractors, burnishers, and vacuums to complete daily and project-based tasks.
- Perform advanced floor care services like stripping old wax or finish, applying new coatings, buffing for shine, and deep-cleaning carpets using hot water extraction or bonnet methods.
- Follow safety guidelines when working with cleaning chemicals and equipment, and always wear the proper personal protective gear (PPE).
- Use all equipment safely and make sure it’s cleaned, stored properly, and in good working order.
- Follow OSHA and facility safety standards to help keep yourself and others safe.
- Work on your own or with a team to complete daily floor care duties and larger cleaning projects.
- Keep in touch with your supervisor about any equipment issues, supply needs, or floor damage that needs attention.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional space by keeping floors free of spills, dirt, and slip hazards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of hands on experience working as a commercial floorcare technician, janitor, or similar role.
- Experience using floor care machines like buffers, auto-scrubbers, burnishers, and carpet extractors.
- Knowledge of floor types (tile, vinyl, carpet, concrete) and how to clean and maintain each properly.
- Valid RealID.
- Able to obtain and maintain government base access.
