Floor Technician

A Floor Technician (Floor Tech) is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring hard surfaces and carpets in commercial buildings. Key duties include stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing/extracting carpets using industrial machinery, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Scrub and Polish hard floors (NORA, LVT, etc) using heavy-duty, powered buffing/burnishing and scrubbing machinesVacuum, extract, and/or bonnet clean carpets to remove stains and maintain appearanceMove furniture before and after sweeping/mopping floors, clean baseboards and polish stainless steelFollow infection control procedures, properly dilute and handle chemicals, and use safety signs to manage wet floorsClean and maintain elevator tracks Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent3+ years of experience in environmental services, janitorial work or specifically in floor careCompletion of drug screening and background checkCapable of frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting/pushing equipment, often up to 50 poundsUnderstanding of different floor types and the appropriate cleaning chemicals or methodsEvening availability (after 6pm) Powered by JazzHR QJ5vr5YSpo
