About the role
This position is for nights. The Floor Technician keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition, performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, carpet extraction, stripping and waxing floors, and scrub & recoat on floors. The role includes routine maintenance on floor equipment, notifying management of repair needs, assisting with grounds keeping, and providing quality customer service to patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum, shampoo, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
- Clean baseboards, kick-plates, and floor equipment.
- Mix chemicals and cleaning solutions to scrub & strip floors, wash windows, walls, ceilings, and doors.
- Clean desks and countertops as needed.
- Pick up papers and other debris, and empty and clean waste receptacles.
- Clean and scrub restroom flooring.
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment.
- Lock and unlock doors; turn lights and machines on and off; set alarms.
- Operate light duty equipment and machinery, and clean and care for it.
- Work outside as needed to clear sidewalks and parking lots during inclement weather (snow, ice, mud, etc.) and assist with grounds keeping.
Requirements
- One year experience in environmental or floor maintenance services.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
