Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, engaging customer service to members and guests.
- Aid members with equipment use and exercise guidance.
- Maintain the gym floor for safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Keep all equipment clean and organized, ensuring it’s ready for use by members.
- Report any equipment issues for repair to maintain a safe environment.
- Conduct facility tours for potential new members, showcasing all the Y has to offer.
- Affiliate with YMCA programs, events, and services to members.
Qualifications
- Current Certifications: First Aid/CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.
- Experience: Previous experience in fitness or a related field required.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: Personal Training certification.
Physical Demands
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, swim and talk and hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
