Responsibilities

Regal Floor Staff / Cast Members are the face of Regal and will provide guest service in one or more of the following areas: selling tickets, concessions, and/or ushering. Availability to work weekends is required. Weekday opening and/or closing availability is preferred.

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling of emergency situations when called upon
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with company dress code

Box Office

  • Operate POS system, including handling and ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, traveler’s checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons
  • Upsell and suggestively sell Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX)
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
  • Respond to phone calls and guest questions in line with Regal’s guest service philosophy

Concession

  • Operate POS system, including handling and ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, traveler’s checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons
  • Manage concession stock inventory
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment
  • Upsell and suggestively sell concession items
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable

Usher

  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system
  • Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe environment
  • Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management
  • Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management
  • Clean auditoriums at the end of scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas outside auditoriums
  • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
  • Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier, or progress toward completion
  • If assigned duties include selling/serving alcohol, completion of legally required state or local training and certification, plus Regal Entertainment Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University

Qualifications

  • Good public speaking skills, ability to listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly
  • Ability to perform calculations with speed and accuracy, and identify and correct errors
  • Strong reasoning ability: identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, and reach evidence-based conclusions
  • Ability to take action beyond what is necessarily called for and perform under pressure and/or opposition
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management
  • Ability to establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • May occasionally be required to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
