About the role
The Floor Manager ensures a high-quality service experience, leading the floor team to maintain service standards, cleanliness, and ambiance. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to handle operational tasks such as menu updates, inventory, staff training, and performance management. The Floor Manager fosters a positive, non-competitive environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support floor staff, ensuring service excellence.
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness, ambiance, and high standards of hygiene.
- Manage daily operations, including team coordination, guest relations, and inventory.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and assist with menu updates.
- Oversee staff performance, coaching, and training.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
- Address guest feedback and ensure high service standards.
- Assist in financial tasks, such as reviewing P&L and managing budgets.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a management position within a high-energy, upscale setting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills—always setting the standard.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, leading by example with confidence and grace.
- Proficient with financial reports, POS systems, and safety protocols, ensuring smooth operations.
- A natural at training, motivating, and empowering your team to exceed expectations.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler Certification and a solid grasp of Department of Health regulations (preferred but not required).
Pay
Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year (DOE and state).
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Stand/walk for extended periods (8-10 hours) and lift up to 45 pounds.
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with moderate noise.
