About the Role

The Floor Maintenance Equipment Technician services and repairs floor cleaning equipment. This position will ensure that broken equipment is restored to a safe operating condition while tracking accurate parts and labor costs.

Responsibilities

• General problem solving
• Re-build combustible and electric motors
• Diagnose electrical wiring problems
• Replace worn or broken parts
• Disassemble and re-assemble motors
• Read wiring diagrams
• Use a multi-meter
• Clean the equipment thoroughly before returning it to the store
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Machine and electrical maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to complete the physical tasks related to maintenance work: lifting 10–75 lbs., regularly sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and use hands to operate tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
