Starting pay: $27.81 an hour with a $1.25 shift premium for Second Shift (2:00PM – 10:30PM), Monday – Friday.

Schedule
- Second Shift: 2:00PM – 10:30PM, Monday – Friday
- Ability to work all shifts as required by training needs
- Daily overtime as needed
- Saturday and Sunday overtime as required
About the Facility
Over 300 employees work at the Holland Plant, which has been operating since 1897. Products produced include sweet relish, Grey Poupon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, pickle variations, and BBQ sauce. This is a union facility represented by the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU).
Responsibilities
- Lead activities for receiving supplies and shipping product.
- Coordinate activities of forklift drivers.
- Manage and organize rework and rework paperwork.
- Operate forklift equipment (certification required).
- Maintain clean and organized materials areas, including glass dock, storage, palletizers, spice cage, bulk pallets, and collation.
- Train full-time and seasonal employees on warehouse operations, including forklift operation, proper storage, loading/unloading trucks, dock plates & locks, rail door/gates/bridges, chemical & label handling, and emergency evacuation.
- Provide direction to hourly employees, including forklift drivers, scrubber operators, heavy loaders, and rework crews.
- Communicate with the previous shift’s Floor Lead on rework status and warehouse operations to identify shift priorities.
- Communicate regularly with Office Leads, Production Staff, and Security Guard regarding inventory status and locations for loading/unloading trucks.
- Direct inbound and outbound shipments and complete required documentation.
- Stage materials for Production and Process Control departments.
- Support Palletizer Operators, including printing pallet tags.
- Maintain files, complete reports, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Use inventory control systems (currently BPCS, transitioning to SAP) for shipping, receiving, and inventory needs.
- Report using inbound/outbound logs and Heinz Shipment Scheduling log accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Receive materials and complete required documents.
- Complete cycle counts as directed by supervisor.
- Unload corn syrup tankers.
- Follow safe practices, report safety issues, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure proper sanitation and housekeeping in all areas.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Work overtime as necessary and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
- Certification on all forklift equipment.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted.
- Familiarity with supply chain functions, including storage, glass dock, collation, receiving/unloading, shipping/loading, and inventory control (highly preferred).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in BPCS, SAP, Microsoft Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
- Applied math skills and strong organizational skills.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience (highly preferred).
- Frequent standing and walking; prolonged periods on feet performing repetitive actions that entail bending and stooping.
