About the role
Powerlink Healthcare Services is seeking a dynamic, versatile, and highly organized Floor Care Technician to join our Operations team. We provide award-winning integrated services—Food and Nutrition, Housekeeping and Laundry, and Facility Maintenance—to long-term care and senior living facilities across the United States. This position ensures cleanliness in resident units and common areas, delivering a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public, in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and emergency services
- Specialized floor care: stripping, scrubbing, buffing, and refinishing hard surface floors
- Carpet cleaning and extracting
- Secure work areas using appropriate safety procedures
- Follow all company and safety rules and regulations
- Ensure cleanliness of the work site after service completion
- Inspect equipment and ensure all supplies are in good working order
- Provide laundry services to maintain a homelike environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Some maintenance or floor care experience is preferred
- Highly organized and dependable
- Strong attention to detail
