Floor Care Technician

About the role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Floor Care Technician to join our team and help us uphold our high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums
• Apply and remove floor finishes, waxes, and sealants according to manufacturer instructions and facility protocols
• Clean elevator tracks, stairwells, and other surfaces
• Conduct regular inspections of floor surfaces to identify and address potential hazards or damage
• Respond promptly to spills, stains, and other urgent cleaning needs to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment
• Collaborate with other facility staff to ensure that floor care tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
• Follow all safety guidelines and infection control procedures to ensure a hygienic environment for residents and staff

Requirements

• Proven experience in floor care or custodial work
• Knowledge of various floor care techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents
• Ability to operate floor care machinery safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work weekends
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and prolonged standing
