About the role

Performs housekeeping and related activities with the focus on patient exam and inpatient rooms, surgery, utilities, and the general environment. Continuously demonstrates proficiency in basic cleaning skills used in patient, staff, office, clinic, or visitor areas. Routinely demonstrates both knowledge and skill in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques and infection control methods necessary to maintain the departments established quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to speak, write, and understand English.
• Maintains the physical environment of the hospital at the highest level of cleanliness, both from an appearance and infection control standpoint.
• Responsible for continuous demonstration of basic cleaning skills in patient, staff, office, clinic, or visitor areas.
• Routinely demonstrates knowledge and skill in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques, and infection control methods.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• One year of previous institutional cleaning experience, preferably in a hospital or hospitality environment.
• One year customer service experience.
• Vocational training and certificate.

Pay

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
