Floor Care Technician - 3rd shift

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a floor care technician, responsible for performing floor care cleaning services, window cleaning, and general janitorial duties. The role requires adherence to client and company standards, ensuring quality workmanship, punctuality, safe practices, and compliance with company procedures. The technician will also maintain floor care equipment and complete work assignments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Understand and practice all client and Servicon Safety programs, promoting a safety culture and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work.
• Perform various types of floor care work, including stripping/refinishing hard surface floors, carpet care/extraction, and operating specialized floor care equipment.
• Complete work assignments in compliance with Servicon’s floor care procedures and processes.
• Inspect assigned areas during and after work to ensure compliance with site-specific procedures and the client’s Scope of Work (SOW).
• Ensure supplies are stocked, equipment is clean and functional, and report malfunctioning equipment promptly.
• Track inventory and equipment, provide feedback to the manager, and monitor utilization for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• 1+ year of floor technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Extensive floor care product knowledge.
• Working knowledge of multiple hard floor surfaces (marble, granite, VCT, etc.).
• Working knowledge of carpet cleaning procedures (shampooing, extracting, bonneting).
• Ability to perform window cleaning and power washing duties.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills (Spanish a plus).
• Planning, scheduling, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, and follow up.
• Covid-19 vaccination requirements may vary by client site.

Qualifications
