Floor Technician-3rd Shift

About the role

As a Floor Technician, you will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of floor care duties in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors and other surfaces.
• Use light and heavy (commercial type) floor machines and shampoo machines, including attachments.
• Spot clean carpet daily and shampoo when directed.
• Monitor possible defects and report to supervisors.
• Perform floor maintenance tasks: strip and refinish VCT, extract carpet, top scrub and recoat VCT, operate rider scrubber in plant area, and additional floor duties as needed.
• Implement and maintain janitorial procedures and programs for assigned areas.
• Review janitorial procedures and recommend changes as needed.
• Build the team by developing hourly janitorial team members.

Requirements

• Experience as a floor care technician.
• Ability to take direction and function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using cleaning tools and equipment, including floor buffer, floor burnisher, rider scrubber, auto-scrubber, carpet spotter, carpet extractor, and floor cleaning and finishing equipment.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Pay

The compensation for this position ranges from $16.15 to $19.00 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

This is a 3rd shift position.
