About the role
Adjusts to staff shortages and covers other assigned areas, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Properly uses personal protective equipment
- Analyzes carpeted and hard surface floors and applies correct maintenance procedures
- Performs cleaning functions using the department approved process in all assigned areas
- Monitors and reports any equipment issues or shortages and stocks supplies
- Assesses areas of assignment and makes suggestions for improvement to the supervisor, documenting daily assignments completed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
- Able to communicate in English
- Basic computer skills and to include the use of mouse and keyboard
- Ability to climb and work on a ladder
- Knowledge of floor care maintenance process
- Ability to safely use all equipment related to the care of floor surfaces to include but not limited to commercial rotary machines, auto scrubbers, vacuums and floor burnishers
- Demonstrates knowledge of environmental services equipment and chemicals used in the department
- Ability to assess, correct, and maintain various floor surfaces
Education
- High School Grad or Equiv
Work Experience
- 1+ floor tech experience
