Floating Teller 1 or (2 w/ required experience)

About the role

As a Floating Teller at Community Bank System, Inc. (CBSI), you will work in various branch offices within a defined geographical area. This position is responsible for creating and delivering a positive customer experience while conducting financial transactions. You will actively listen for customer financial needs to refer them to appropriate bank products or representatives, adapt to changing workplace environments, and maintain the security of customer information.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service and a positive banking experience by handling financial transactions (e.g., cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals) with professionalism.
• Actively listen for potential sales opportunities to promote bank products and services, and refer customers accordingly.
• Conduct customer transactions accurately and prepare daily cash balancing within established guidelines.
• Understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Maintain proficient knowledge of and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate ongoing adherence to job-specific requirements in a timely manner.
• Prioritize tasks and maintain responsibility for an assigned cash drawer.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Professional and friendly interpersonal and communication skills.
• Clear thinking and ability to stay focused.
• Ability to consistently demonstrate the Company’s core values: strong work ethic, integrity, respect for others, responsibility, transparency, and humility.
• Prior customer service skills preferred.
