About the role
Our Maintenance Technicians at Berger Communities are responsible for ensuring that our apartment communities feel like home. They take pride in their work, enjoy problem-solving, and strive to make a daily positive impact on residents.
Responsibilities
- Handle service requests and repairs in apartments and buildings
- Get empty homes move-in ready
- Keep the grounds, amenities, and common areas looking great
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
- Jump in on snow removal and share on-call shifts
- Create a great resident experience with friendly, professional service
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in apartment maintenance or similar field
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Proficiency in basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
