Floating Pool Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Join our team as a Regional Floating Pool Technician (Pharmacy Technician 2) and travel on-site to provide coverage and assistance to pharmacies in Palm Beach County (West Palm, Lantana, Delray, West Boca Raton). This role involves obtaining new prescriptions and refill information while working across various pharmacy functions.

Responsibilities

• Work in different areas of pharmacy, including data entry, production, cash register, phone calls (inbound and outbound), and other assignments as directed by the pharmacist
• Retrieve, count, and measure prescription drugs
• Assist the pharmacist in price-checking and restocking prescription drugs
• Access, input, and retrieve prescription information from computers
• Refer physicians' calls and medical questions to the pharmacist
• Interpret area/department policies and methods for completing assignments
• Work within defined parameters to meet work expectations and quality standards, with some latitude over prioritization and timing

Requirements

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration/license with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of Florida
• One or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or any pharmacy-related experience
• Must be able to work onsite at pharmacies in Palm Beach County (West Palm, Lantana, Delray, and West Boca Raton) as scheduled
• This role is patient-facing and requires participation in Humana/Senior Bridge’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Nationally certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

Schedule

Variable Staffing Pool (VSP) with work hours between 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, based on business need.

Pay

Starting base pay: $25.49 per hour (full-time equivalent range: $40,000 – $52,300 per year). Pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications.
