FLOATING Phlebotomist

About the role

Actalent is urgently hiring for a Mobile Phlebotomist. This is a permanent, fully onsite position based out of Westbury, NY, with travel to patient service centers throughout Long Island (home base: Westbury; additional sites: Port Washington, New Hyde Park; as needed: Babylon, Brentwood, Patchogue, Bay Shore). The application is anticipated to close on Oct 9, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws using straight needles for the majority of cases and butterfly needles for difficult sticks.
• Manage pediatric and adult patient blood collection with care and precision.
• Process and handle specimens according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of blood draws and specimen handling.

Requirements

• 3 years of straight needle experience required (experience outside of schooling)
• Infant and pediatric phlebotomy experience

Pay

$25.00 per hour. Mileage reimbursement for travel over 30 miles per day.

Schedule

Must be available between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturday shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
