About the role
Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team visiting locations in and around the Portland, OR. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. You will travel to additional sites as needed and have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed (reliable transportation required)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
- At least 21 years old
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (required in lieu of work experience)
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist (preferred)
Pay
Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hourly plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Schedule
Monday to Friday, hours will vary between 6am–7pm. Rotating weekends.
