About the role
As a Float Phlebotomist, you will travel to various sites within the Greenville, TX area and surrounding regions (approximately a 100+ mile radius). This role provides variety, exposure to diverse patients and clinics, and opportunities for skill development and career growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other specialized testing
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites as needed (reliable transportation required)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is acceptable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Must pass a standardized color blindness test
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Flexibility to work overtime and rotating weekends as needed
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment
- 1 or more years of experience assisting patients of all age groups (pediatric to geriatric)
- Current or prior Labcorp experience

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible for the 401(k) plan only. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
Pay
Float Incentive: Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may also be eligible for a quarterly incentive bonus based on performance metrics.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, with hours varying based on coverage needs (6:30 AM to 6:30 PM)
- Overtime and rotating weekends required as needed
