About the role
We are seeking a Phlebotomist Floater to join our team in the Spring Hill, FL territory. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent Labcorp in Patient Service Centers or Client offices. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other required tests
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred)
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
- At least 21 years of age
Schedule
Variable hours between 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays as assigned. Additional days and hours may be required.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
Phlebotomy Service Technicians (PSTs) may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
