Floating Maintenance Technician II

About the role

Maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, and appliance systems in multiple residential communities.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using the Make Ready Checklist.
Ensure units meet Fairfield quality standards.
Communicate with vendors and contractors.
Report inventory needs and potential liabilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • One year of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • General computer skills, including operating a mobile device.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult customers and situations.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Pay

Estimated Rate of Pay: $26.97 - $30.16
This position is non-exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates.

Schedule
