Floating Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Floating Apartment Maintenance Technician for our properties in the Metro-Atlanta area. The Floating Maintenance Technician will travel to a single property per day to complete work orders, prepare apartments for move-in, perform preventative maintenance, property upkeep, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance in individual apartments, common areas, and amenity areas.
• Prepare vacant units for new move-ins, which may include maintenance of the unit, painting, cleaning, HVAC maintenance/repairs, and carpet cleaning.
• Complete work orders and help monitor and maintain the grounds.
• Respond to on-call emergencies in a timely manner.
• Maintain and repair buildings, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, pools, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
• Assist with moving furniture, appliances, loading, unloading, and storing supplies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of direct experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician for an apartment community.
• EPA I or II, Universal, or HVAC certification is required.
• CPO Certification is a plus, and experience maintaining pools is required.
• Thorough understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
• Experience with Onesite, Yardi, or other property management software is a plus.
• Must be able to travel locally up to 80% of the time.
