Floating Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and regulations. This role involves managing the maintenance team, responding to maintenance issues, and adhering to the company's risk management program.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and standards, and adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage the maintenance team, including overseeing daily tasks and resolving issues.
• Review and track service request progress, identifying chronic maintenance issues.
• Perform various maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
• Conduct inspections and address safety and cleanliness concerns.
• Communicate with property manager and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Mentor the maintenance team and promote a positive environment.
• Administer the company's risk management program and ensure maintenance costs stay within budget.
• Complete special projects and collaborate with property leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in property management or a related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions and cope with challenging situations.
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policy.
• Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
