Job Description Summary
The Floating Maintenance Supervisor will travel to a single property per day to complete work orders, prepare apartments for move in, perform preventative maintenance, property upkeep and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance in individual apartments, common areas and amenity areas.
- Prepare vacant units for new move-ins, which may include the maintenance of the unit, painting, cleaning, HVAC maintenance/repairs and carpet cleaning.
- Complete work orders and help to monitor and maintain the grounds.
- Respond to On-Call Emergency in a timely manner.
- Maintain and repair buildings: areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
- Assist with moving furniture, appliances, loading, unloading, and storing supplies.
Requirements
- High School diploma, or GED equivalency, and a minimum of 1-2 years direct experience as Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Supervisor for an apartment community.
- EPA I or II, Universal or HVAC certified is required.
- CPO Certification is a plus and experience maintaining pools is required.
- Thorough understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
- Experience with Onesite, Yardi, or other property management software is a plus.
- Must be able to local travel up to 80% of the time.
