Floating Bank Teller
Location: 3929 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23452 (Holland Windsor Shopping Center). This is a contract position with a Fortune 100 financial institution, based out of Chesapeake, VA.
About the role
Provide members and prospective members with the full range of products and services offered by the client, including depository accounts (checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts), lending products, and credit/debit cards. Perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision, analyze and resolve account/loan discrepancies, assist with loan and credit card applications, counsel members on products and services, ensure proper handling of cash and negotiable instruments, and identify cross‑sell opportunities to increase product penetration.
Responsibilities
- Deliver depository, lending, and card products to members
- Perform platform banking functions under supervision
- Analyze, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans
- Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection, and credit card applications
- Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services
- Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
- Identify opportunities to cross‑sell products and increase product penetration
Requirements
- 1‑3 years of cash handling experience in in‑person customer service, retail, and banking
- High School Diploma required
- Bank Teller experience preferred but not required
