Floater Teacher

Westport Montessori Center in Kansas City is a licensed childcare center seeking full-time Floater Teachers to support all age groups, infants through pre-K.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Previous childcare experience is a plus
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role

Responsibilities

• Support the center as needed, including covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members
• Demonstrate patience, kindness, and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff
• Operate as a team player and assist where needed under the direction of the lead teacher

Schedule

Monday–Friday, full-time, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM

Pay

$16–$17/hour based on education and experience
