Chesapeake Montessori is a licensed childcare center seeking Floaters/Aides to support in all age groups.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass all background checks
- Previous childcare experience (a plus)
- Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
Pay
$16-17/hr, based on education and experience

Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
- Fulfill all physical requirements of the role
