Floater Teacher

Job Summary

The Goddard School in Midlothian is seeking a flexible, dependable, and energetic Floater Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children of various ages and are interested in part-time, afternoon hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to provide support to lead and assistant teachers
• Help supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities across various classrooms (infants through Pre-K)
• Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization during transitions and closings
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with children, staff, and families
• Follow school policies and licensing regulations

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Experience with or interest in working with young children preferred
• Willingness to be flexible and float to various age groups throughout the day
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
