Position Summary
A Floater Teacher spends time in different classrooms, subbing for teachers when they are absent or need to leave the classroom for a meeting or lunch break. They support our school-wide curriculum, which is play-based, emotionally-sensitive, and inspired by progressive early childhood education theory.
Qualifications
- Licensed by EEC with a “Teacher” or “Lead Teacher” certification
- English fluency required
- Background check and writing sample required
- Must be able to lift a 30-pound child
- Documentation of an up-to-date physical is required
Compensation and Benefits
- $19.26 per hour
- Health insurance (85% employer contribution for full-time)
- Dental insurance (50% employer contribution for full-time)
- 2% employer contribution to Simple IRA
- Generous paid time off, including paid snow days, sick time, vacation time, and personal time
