Floater - 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.) - $20.00/hour + $1.00 shift premium

About the role

We are seeking a Floater for the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) based in Pueblo, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This role focuses on the quality and accurate production of fiberglass elbows.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all supplies are gathered for the duration of the shift.
• Assist in initiating bending, including cutting and sanding preparation, placing in the oven, cooling, verifying angle, and labeling.
• Relieve Bender for breaks and lunches.
• Assist in red striping, cutting, or swedging as directed.
• Perform final inspection on angle, label, and appearance of elbows.
• Perform maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
• Perform any other tasks appointed by the Supervisor or Shift Lead.

Requirements

• Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year’s previous shop experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong math skills for quick and accurate counting, calculations, and measurements (e.g., radius, inside and outside diameter, length).
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
• Adaptability to changes in the work environment, multiple competing demands, and frequent changes or delays.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Performance Expectations (Within 3 Months)

• Know and follow plant safety rules, including wearing proper PPE.
• Zero safety incidents in the past 90 days of evaluation.
• Fewer than 15 attendance points on the evaluation date.
• No documented warnings within 90 days of the probationary period.

Pay

$20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium. Placement in the range depends on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business needs. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
