Float Triage RN

About the role

The Float Pool team is a group of specially trained employees who are readily available to cover clinical operations gaps within Mass General Brigham practices. This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as employees may need to work in various settings across the Pioneer Valley.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and support, ensuring high nursing standards.
• Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree Nursing Required, Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred.
• Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required, Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]- Various Issuers preferred.
• Experience: Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required, Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred.
