Float Teller

Location: Lynchburg, VA – travel to branches such as Danville, Roanoke, Madison Heights, Buena Vista, etc. Travel expenses reimbursed at a set rate; float tellers have a “home” branch.

About the role

As a Float Teller at Beacon Credit Union, you’ll help us live out our mission, “Dedicated to Our Members’ Financial Success.” You’ll identify members’ financial needs, recommend appropriate solutions, process transactions, and provide excellent service in the lobby, drive-thru, and over the phone. You’ll ensure a positive member experience, minimize wait times, stay knowledgeable about all products and services, and meet or exceed monthly sales and service goals.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle transactions and verbally confirm with customers to ensure needs are met.
• Report any discrepancies immediately and balance the cash drawer regularly.
• Be knowledgeable about all Beacon CU products and services.
• Suggest appropriate products and services to members.
• Support other departments and branches as needed.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve inquiries.
• Follow all applicable regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act, Reg CC, and Anti-Money Laundering.
• Deliver outstanding service to all members in line with credit union standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to assigned Beacon Credit Union branches.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience.
• Sales experience.
• Customer service experience (preferred).
