About the role
The ICU Float Nurse provides direct patient care across multiple intensive care unit (ICU) departments in a dynamic healthcare setting, delivering patient‑centered care and serving as a liaison among healthcare disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts.
- Document and execute physician and nursing orders.
- Assess patient needs to ensure high‑quality care.
- Deliver patient‑centered care and act as a liaison among healthcare disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and protocols.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a multi‑state license.
- BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Experience with hemodynamics.
- Ability to float between ICU units as needed.
