About the role
Seeking a registered nurse to provide direct medical-surgical care in accordance with organizational policies and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Apply standards of nursing practice to improve patient care and quality of life.
- Establish effective relationships and advocate for patients and families to develop personalized care plans.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Consider physical, cultural, social, economic, spiritual, and recreational factors in care management.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to set goals and deliver holistic care.
- Communicate effectively and provide education to promote health and comfort.
- Mentor colleagues and apply evidence-based practices aligned with patient needs.
- Perform point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience for float roles or two years for regional float roles.
- Active RN license in applicable states with BLS certification from AHA.
Physical and Professional Requirements
- Constant communication, standing, walking, and frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional patient lifting, bending, and repetitive movements.
- Ability to distinguish colors, perceive odors, and hear alarms or sounds.
- Valid RN license and BLS certification in the relevant state.
