Float Pool RN - Per Diem

Role Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Float Med Surg role, providing versatile patient care across multiple inpatient units in a leading academic medical center.

Responsibilities

• Delivering patient-centered care, education, and support to patients and families.
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
• Participating in quality, safety, and regulatory activities; maintaining current clinical knowledge.
• Supporting staffing needs across diverse units, including high-acuity and critical care areas for experienced ICU nurses.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care Medical-Surgical experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in various clinical settings.
• Preferred: ICU or critical care experience, BSN or enrollment in a BSN program, previous float pool experience.
