Float Pool Critical Care Nurse Faulkner - 36 hr Nights

About the role

The Staff Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. Demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. Ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager, or supervisor. Assures the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

This is a Critical Care Float Pool RN role responsible for responding to emergencies in any department. Acts as the lead for all patient care emergency responses including but not limited to Rapid Response, Code Blue, Code Stroke, and out-patient Code Blue calls.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Night shift
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday commitment

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse required
• Minimum of 2–3 years of ICU experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required or must obtain ACLS by the end of orientation
• Adheres to all I C.A.R.E. standards
• Evidence of basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
• Demonstrated observational skills and ability to set priorities
• Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management

Compensation

• Pay range: $41.36 – $100.00 per hour
• Grade: RN3500

Base pay is determined comprehensively based on skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors. The range provided reflects minimum job qualifications and does not encompass all elements of the total compensation package, which may include differentials, premiums, bonuses, and recognition programs.
