Float Pharmacy Technician

Genoa Healthcare is a pharmacy care services company that is part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group's family of businesses. As a Float Pharmacy Technician, you'll support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Location

Depending on your home location, you will be asked to cover either Tacoma, WA to Vancouver, WA or Tacoma, WA to Bellingham, WA, with flexibility to cover anywhere along the I-5 Corridor. Mileage reimbursement and drive time reimbursement (after 50 miles) are provided. When necessary, hotel and food expenses for overnight stays will be covered.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (including a 30-minute to 1-hour lunch break). This is a 40-hour work week, but the specific location will vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in the computer to maintain inventory records
• Assist the Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Washington
• Ability to travel to all sites in the areas of Bellingham to Vancouver
• Ability to use your own vehicle to commute to all sites in your designated area
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• 6+ months of previous pharmacy technician experience

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 to $29 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is determined by several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
