Float Pharmacy Technician

As a Float Pharmacy Technician, you will support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Location
Depending on your home location, you will be asked to cover either Tacoma, WA to Vancouver, WA or Tacoma, WA to Bellingham, WA, with flexibility to cover anywhere along the I-5 Corridor. You will receive mileage reimbursement as well as drive time reimbursement (drive time reimbursement begins after 50 miles). When necessary to stay overnight, hotel and food will be covered.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (lunch will be 30 minutes to 1 hour). You will get a 40-hour work week, but the location will vary based on the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
- Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
- Work with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
- Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Washington
- Ability to travel to all sites in the areas of Bellingham to Vancouver
- Ability to use your own vehicle to commute to all sites in your designated area
- Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- 6+ months of previous pharmacy technician experience

Pay
The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 to $29 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
