Float Pharmacy Technician

About the role
We seek a Float Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will primarily dispense medical prescriptions and perform necessary clerical duties.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM
- Lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM
- 3 days per week at 240 West Tyrone Rd., Oak Ridge, TN
- 2 days per week at 1704 E Broadway Ave, Maryville, TN 37804
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff
- Fill prescription orders and prepare them for verification under pharmacist supervision
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
- Process wholesaler medication orders
- Verify medication stock and maintain inventory records in the computer system
- Assist the Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
- Perform various clerical duties related to the department
- Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Tennessee
- Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Oak Ridge and 2 days per week in Maryville
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license for local deliveries
Preferred Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
Pay
The hourly pay for this role ranges from $16 to $29 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
