Responsibilities

We seek a Float Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with solid professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas (not trainee license)
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
• Ability to use your own car to get to sites within El Paso as needed for help with coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Pay

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment.

Schedule

Location: Your home base will be 6600 Montana Ave., Suite P, El Paso, TX 79925, but you will be asked to help cover at all El Paso sites. Schedule: Monday- Thursday 8:00am to 6:00pm MST and Friday 8:00am to 12:30pm MST; but this will be subject to change depending on the site you are working and their hours are typically 8:00am to 5:00pm MST Monday-Friday
