About the role
The Go Team PA/NP is prepared to deliver primary health care, including but not limited to: recognition and management of common illnesses and injuries in the Emergency Department and inpatient setting. HM, ICU, some of which may be determined by protocol.
Responsibilities
- Maintain membership to the medical staff and/or allied health staff.
- Maintain appropriate certifications, licenses, and hospital privileges.
- Obtain and record patient history and perform physical examinations.
- Complete a medical screening exam.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
- Order diagnostic laboratory tests, radiological studies or other therapies as appropriate.
- Establish diagnostic decision-making and initiate a treatment plan, which may include ordering medications, additional therapeutic modalities, etc.
- Coordinate patient care with other members of the health care team.
- Initiate consultation requests to other health professionals to provide more comprehensive patient management.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding mental and physical health; referring patients to appropriate specialists/resources.
- Adequately manage patient flow in the ED/HM/ICU.
- Perform other procedures as allowed by state law and under the direction of your supervising or collaborating physician.
- Participate actively in department staff meetings and risk management education.
- Thoroughly and timely complete charts.
- Complete required courses, including HIPAA, EMTALA and other CME CEU requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years relevant EM, HM, and/or ICU experience.
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Physician Assistant Certification Registration & Licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Active membership in a professional organization preferred.

- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to help with urgent scheduling needs.

$120,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
