About the role

The Go Team PA/NP is prepared to deliver primary health care, including but not limited to: recognition and management of common illnesses and injuries in the Emergency Department and inpatient setting. HM, ICU, some of which may be determined by protocol.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain membership to the medical staff and/or allied health staff.
  • Maintain appropriate certifications, licenses, and hospital privileges.
  • Obtain and record patient history and perform physical examinations.
  • Complete a medical screening exam.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
  • Order diagnostic laboratory tests, radiological studies or other therapies as appropriate.
  • Establish diagnostic decision-making and initiate a treatment plan, which may include ordering medications, additional therapeutic modalities, etc.
  • Coordinate patient care with other members of the health care team.
  • Initiate consultation requests to other health professionals to provide more comprehensive patient management.
  • Instruct and counsel patients regarding mental and physical health; referring patients to appropriate specialists/resources.
  • Adequately manage patient flow in the ED/HM/ICU.
  • Perform other procedures as allowed by state law and under the direction of your supervising or collaborating physician.
  • Participate actively in department staff meetings and risk management education.
  • Thoroughly and timely complete charts.
  • Complete required courses, including HIPAA, EMTALA and other CME CEU requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant EM, HM, and/or ICU experience.
  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Physician Assistant Certification Registration & Licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Active membership in a professional organization preferred.

  • Broad-based medical knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to help with urgent scheduling needs.

$120,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
