Float Mammography Technologist Trainee
Responsibilities
- Train with preceptor at Louetta and Tomball centers
- Absorb coverage at Houston area centers post registry
- Practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique
- Prepare for and assist Radiologists in complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies
- Produce high-quality films for radiologist evaluation
- Communicate procedures to patients and educate on the importance of regular mammography
- Maintain a patient-first focus and exhibit outstanding customer service skills
Requirements
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography
- Interest in training in mammography as an advanced modality
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
