Work Location: Washington Radiology centers in DC, MD, and Northern VA
Hours: Full Time, Monday through Friday
Hourly Rate: $45.00 to $55.00 commensurate with experience + float differential
Department Highlights: Float between multiple screening and diagnostic centers
Deliver efficient, comfortable screening experiences using advanced digital mammography technology.
Additional compensation to include hourly float differential & monthly travel stipend
Responsibilities
- Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
- Effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health
- Effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions
- Maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills
- Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique
- Complete patient education regarding the exam
- Perform diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered
- Prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies
Requirements
- Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification: Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- Licensure: Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Knowledge of database software, eRad, Sectra RIS/PACS software is preferred
- Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred
- Able to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification: Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- Licensure: Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
