Float Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) First Choice Health PRN
About the role
The Pulaski First Choice Health Clinic is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The clinic offers a supportive environment with hands-on experience and prioritizes maintaining a positive clinic culture.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
- Administers medication as per the plan of care.
- Documents patient care given.
- Aids in developing the plan of care.
- Aids patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Maintains awareness of patient status and reactions to interventions, communicating with RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
- Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.
Requirements
- Active Tennessee license (single-state or compact).
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
