Float Direct Support Professional (DSP)

You’ll work directly with people in need of assistance, and/or living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs.
Responsibilities
A Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF) caregiver is responsible for providing clerical and technical support in maintaining health services delivery to individuals as well as providing direct care. The DSP Float provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
- Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
- Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
- Schedule appointments and outings for individuals, coordinate and provide transportation for individuals to and from the community
- Establish and maintain individual’s medical records, both active and inactive, in accordance with established policies and procedures
Qualifications

- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of prior experience working with individuals with disabilities

- Computer skills for documentation
- Valid Drivers License (due to transporting persons served)

Pay and Schedule
Starting Pay: $11/hour. Schedule: Will vary based on the needs of the programs (Must be flexible)
